North west of the island is St Mary, a large, quiet parish with a small population. St Mary’s Primary School has 1 class per year. The attractions in St Mary include La Mare Vineyards with its working distillery producing cider, wine, Jersey black butter, and other Genuine Jersey produce.

Greve de Lecq is one of the most popular beaches for its golden to red sand and sloping beach. It has a beach cafe and shop plus Colleen’s Café along the pier and the Moulin de Lecq (an old water mill now turned into a bar/restaurant) and The Prince of Wales. The Devil’s Hole Priory Inn has an indoor play area for children. St Mary is also home to the Jersey Pistol Club at Crabbe.
